Who is the Cue Chemist?

I was born in Elkins, West Virginia and stared playing pool when I was 16 years old. (Today I am 35 😊)

My first cue was a SportCraft from K-Mart with a screw on tip! I thought this was the coolest feature I had ever seen and finding a house cue in my home pool room, flee market, or bowling alley where I played was almost impossible!

I didn’t know ANYTHING about pool cues, but today almost 26 years later. There’s not much I don’t know about pool cues.

I am business partners and apprentice of The World Famous Bill McDaniel of Bill McDaniel Classic Cues. (Formerly known from Bill McDaniel Custom Cues) I’ve bought and sold thousands of cues, all brands, production, custom, from $20-$25,000 and everywhere in between!

What’s the point?

My mission is to help EVERYONE from the first time cue buyer, to the top professional pool players in the world understand how cues are made, what makes them different, and hopefully help avoid some costly mistakes

I’ve made a long the way. Keep in mind, cues are totally subjective! So what feels good for one, might not for another.

I plan to incorporate science, math, chemistry, and everything that can be measured to help debunk some “cue myths” and help us understand the numbers and science behind the beloved tool!

Buying a cue can be overwhelming, thousands of opinions, local favorites, folklore tales!
